NEW ANNOUNCEMENT (uPDATED 3/17/2024)

We'd like to inform you all that we are offering accommodations for families who have travel conflicts during our 2024 Summer Camps.

We understand summer travel plans may cause some hesitation to register for our programs, but we are more than happy to provide you with some flexibility.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Please register for your desired camp(s) online for the current price shown on the website.

  2. After completing your registration, please complete the following form - 2024 UC ELITE Summer Credit Verification Form. This form will require you to attach a travel itinerary that clearly shows your athlete's name and dates of travel.

  3. Once your travel documents have been verified, you will receive an email regarding camp credit. Although we are not able to prorate for the missing classes or offer pay-per-session, we will turn those missing sessions into camp credit that can be used towards a future UC ELITE Program.

  4. CREDIT POLICY:

    • Camp/clinic credit can only be used towards future UC ELITE camps/clinics (this does not include tryouts/club tuition)

    • Credit amount issued will be based on the net amount since the website provider we use takes a percentage of each registration we receive (about 3%)

    • Credit will be issued after your return from vacation

    • Credit will expire in one year from date it was issued

    • To apply this towards future camp/clinics - you will need to reach out to us to receive your discount code

    • Camp/clinic is non-transferrable and must be used on the original athlete that was registered

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE VERIFICATION FORM MUST BE COMPLETED ONE MONTH PRIOR TO INITIAL TRAVEL DATE TO PROVIDE UC ELITE WITH ADVANCE NOTICE.

2024 UC ELITE CAMP GUIDE

WHCH PROGRAM SHOULD I ENROLL MY ATHLETE IN?

ALL SKILLS CAMPS

*We recommend all athletes to register for an All Skills Camp - especially if you are interested in joining us on a UC ELITE Club Team for the 2024-2025 season.

All Skills 13/14/15s - Intermediate

  • This program is similar to the UC ELITE 11/12s and 13/14s Girls All Skills Regional Camp last summer. This camp is appropriate for athletes who have played for their middle school team (B-Team) or high school (JV Team). If you have attended 6+ months of camps/clinics and have a good grasp of the fundamentals, we recommend this camp.

All Skills 13/14/15s - Advanced

  • This camp is similar to the UC ELITE 13/14/15s National Camp held last summer. If you previously played on your school’s “A-Team” or high school varsity team, we suggest this camp for you. This program is appropriate for athletes who are eager to advance their volleyball skills to perform at a higher level. Athletes interested in joining this program have aspirations to play on a competitive traveling club team next season and are expected to be comfortable training in a team environment. In addition, athletes in this camp are expected to have proficient ball control (down balls, tossing, setting, serving, etc.) as this camp will include many athlete-initiated drills to maximize reps/touches. Lastly, athletes in the camp are looking to train in a faster pace (running faster tempo, blocking quicker sets, setting a faster offense, being more strategic with their game, etc.).

All Skills 11/12s Girls - All Levels

  • This program is similar to the UC ELITE 11/12s All Skills Camp hosted last summer. This camp is appropriate for athletes who previously played on their middle school team, CYO team, or has done 1+ year of Rising Stars or camps/clinics. Athletes in this program are expected to have a decent grasp of the fundamentals and are eager to train in a team-environment. In terms of performance, athletes are expected to already be comfortable with executing 2 of the main skills of volleyball (passing, hitting, serving, and/or setting). We recommend this program for athletes who are interested in playing club volleyball the following season.

All Skills 16/17/18s - Intermediate

  • This program is similar to the UC ELITE 15/16s All Skills Regional Camp and 17/18s Girls All Skills Camp last summer. This camp is appropriate for athletes who have played for their high school team. If you have attended 1+ years of camps/clinics and are comfortable with at least proficiently executing 2 of the main skills of volleyball (passing, hitting, serving, and/or setting), we suggest this program for you. This program would be a good option for athletes that previously played on their high school JV Team or played on a non-traveling club team.

All Skills 16/17/18s - Advanced

  • This camp is similar to the UC ELITE 16/17/18s National Camp held last summer. If you previously played on your school’s high school varsity team, we suggest this camp for you.

CO-ED POSITIONAL CAMPS

*We recommend all athletes to pair this with an All Skills Camp and to register for more than 1 Co-Ed Positional Camp if you have more than one position/skill you’re eager to improve.

Co-Ed Setting - Intermediate

  • We recommend this program for athletes who have aspirations to be a setter and have 0-2 seasons worth of setting experience. Athletes in the program are working on making their slower tempo sets more consistent (4, 5, 2s) in terms of location, while focusing on footwork and technique to shape the ball.

Co-Ed Setting - Advanced

  • We suggest this program for athletes who have 3+ seasons worth of setting experience, whether in club or school season. Athletes in this camp are expected to consistently set slower tempo sets with ease and are wanting to improve to a faster tempo (1s, 3s, Bs, Reds, etc.). Athletes should be proficient at jump setting on-target balls and may be working on jump setting in all situations. In addition to tempo sets and technique, athletes will also be working on being offensive with dumping and being reliable in defense.

Co-Ed Passing - Intermediate

  • We recommend this program for athletes who have aspirations to become a Libero/DS, pass as a secondary position, or plays a position that requires more passing defense (outside/setter). Athletes in this program may have 1-2 seasons of game play experience. Players can expect to work on their digging, serve receive, out-of-system setting, and improving their dynamics.

Co-Ed Passing - Advanced

  • We suggest this program for athletes who have 3+ seasons worth of passing experience, whether in club or school season. Athletes in this camp are expected to know perimeter defense and the responsibilities of each back row position. Athletes should be more than comfortable calling out balls, looking through the net, talking out plays in each rally, spotting out-of-system situations, etc. Players in this camp are looking to improve their game eye-work, being more dynamic (diving, sprawling, saving balls, etc.), transitioning for each rally, out-of-system setting, and more!

Co-Ed Hitting - Intermediate

  • We recommend this program for athletes who have aspirations to become a hitter or may hit as a secondary position. Athletes in this program may have 1-2 seasons of game play or hitting experience (school, CYO, club). Players can expect to work on their timing for slower tempo sets, reading set location, blocking fundamentals/schemes, transitioning, and more!

Co-Ed Hitting - Advanced

  • We suggest this program for athletes who have 3+ seasons worth of hitting experience, whether in club or school season. Athletes in this camp are expected to consistently hit slower tempo sets with little difficulty and are wanting to improve their offensive tempo by hitting (1s, 3s, Bs, Reds, etc.). Athletes should be comfortable with set audible, familiar cross plays, transitioning from blocking-to-hitting, and decently familiar with how to hit spots. Players in this program should be comfortable with speeding up their approach and want to be more offensive versatile.

BOYS CAMPS

*We recommend all athletes to register for an All Skills Camp - especially if you are interested in joining us on a UC ELITE Club Team for the 2024-2025 season.

All Skills - 14U Boys Camp

  • This program is similar to the UC ELITE Boys 14U All Skills Camp hosted last summer. Athletes in this program are expected to have an a decent understanding of the volleyball basics and are looking to improve their game play. We recommend this camp for players who have had at least 1-2 years of team experience on a club/school team or participated in 6+ months of camps/clinics. Players in this camp are looking to improve their ball control and can comfortably execute at least 2 of the main skills of volleyball (hit, pass, set, and/or serve).

All Skills - 18U Boys Camp

  • This camp is similar to the UC ELITE Boys 18U All Skills Camp that took place last summer. We suggest this program for athletes who have played on their school team (JV or Varsity), have played 1-2 seasons of club volleyball, or at least 1+ years of camps/clinics (no previous team play). Athletes in this program should be eager on strengthening not only the skills they are already proficient at, but the skills that are still lacking. During this camp, coaches will conduct drills that will likely require players to initiate to give them more reps/touches.

CO-ED RISING STARS DAY CAMP

  • This program is ideal for athletes who are new to the sport of volleyball. During this camp, athletes will work on the fundamentals of volleyball and developing their basic skills. In addition, athletes will have the opportunity to bond and interact with fellow players. Although this program is about introducing and teaching the sport to younger athletes, the camp emphasizes team work, support, interaction, conversation, competitiveness, and more!
